On February 27, 2010, a massive earthquake of 8.8 magnitude devastated the Maule Region in the center of Chile.  To date the government’s official figures state that there are  500 dead, although the toll is presumably over 700, with hundreds still missing.   A  subsequent tsunami contributed further damage to Chile, with economic damage projected in billions of US dollars.     The Chilean people need our support!  The Latin Hip-Hop group which received DJPC’s 2009 Global Justice & Peace Award, DEBAJO DEL AGUA, will provide entertainment at a March 27th solidarity event “Colorado Helping Chile” at Maratha’s Golden Palace in Denver.  Please join DJPC at this fundraiser to help the people of  Chile.
