The Global Justice and Peace Award recipient should be an individual or an organization doing exemplary work, in solidarity with the people of Latin America.
Nominations should include a description of why the individual or group should be considered, and how their work is aligned with DJPC’s mission. Send your nominations to: [email protected] by: July 16th 2021.
Past recipients include: Council of Popular and Indigenous Organizations of Honduras, Jean Wyllys Brazilian activist (2019), Association of Communities for Development and the Defense of Land and Natural Resources (Guatemala 2018); The National Roudtable Against Metallic Mining El Salvador (2017); Otros Mundos Chiapas (2016); Aviva Chomsky (2015); Upside Down World (2014); The Network in Solidarity with Guatemala – NISGUA (2013) Rights Action (2012); Earthworks (2011); Grufides (2010); Debajo del Agua (2009), School of the Americas Watch (1998).
DJPC Board of Directors will make an announcement on their final decision on the award recipient by the end of July.
Awards Night date will be announce at the beginning of August. In the interest of keeping everyone safe this years Awards Night will be remote. The 2021 John Proctor Award and the Circle of Peace Award nominations will be announced by the end of August.

El premio a la Justicia y la Paz Global del Comité de Justicia y Paz es otorgado a un individuo o a una organización que hace trabajo ejemplar en solidaridad con los pueblos latinoamericanos.
Al enviar su nominación debe incluir una descripción del ¿por qué? ese individuo/a o grupo debe ser considerado, y ¿cómo? su trabajo se vincula a la misión del Comité. Envíe su nombramiento a [email protected] a más tardar el 16 de Julio del 2021.

La fecha para la noche de premios será anunciada al inico de agosto. Para mantener a nuestra comunidad sana y segura, este año la noche de premios se llevará a cabo en línea. Estamos comprometidos en llevar a cabo un evento para reconocer nuestro del trabajo colectivo de la mejor manera posible. La Junta Directiva del Comité tomará una decisión y hará el de quién será el premiado/a este año a inicios de Agosto.
