Today, March 8th, we commemorate the sacrifice of a group of women with a great vision. Today we bring them to the forefront of our struggles. We continue to confront the patriarchy that oppresses and kills.

In our Americas, femicides, the killing of women just for being women, continues to rise. Enough! We demand respect for our bodies, our lives, and our dignity. We remember all the women martyrs who have shown us the way – Dorothy Stang, Berta Cáceres, and Dominga Ramos Saloj. We demand them alive and free, and we are NOT afraid.
