WE’LL BE WORKING AT TWO COMMUNITY FARMS:
Dear friends,
We want to share with you the wonderful news that this year we will be doing our annual Build for Peace fundraiser at two farms that provide food justice to our communities. We are looking for volunteers, up to 15 per location, to join us in a half day of service and also help raise funds for the operation expenses to keep DJPC doing solidarity work.
WE’LL BE WORKING AT TWO COMMUNITY FARMS:
Revision: August 28 at 9 am at 3800 Morrison Road, Denver, CO 80219
Frontline Farming: September 11 at 8 am at Majestic View Farm at 7000 Garrison St. Arvada, CO 80004
HOW IT WORKS:
Volunteers commit to work a half day on a project at:
Re:Vision on August 28 at 9:00 a.m.
FrontLine Farming on September 11 at 8:00 a.m.
Volunteers collect pledges from friends and family to fundraise to cover operation cost for the DJPC and its education and solidarity work.
TO BENEFIT:
The DJPC to continue doing education and advocacy work in the Colorado community on issues of human rights affecting the Latin America region, promoting international solidarity through collective action to achieve environmental justice and economic equity.
Build for Peace is an excellent opportunity for you to get out into the Denver community, contribute to a meaningful project and help DJPC in the process. It is also a great way to meet other DJPC members and volunteers!
