This is volunteer one (1) day a month position (2- 4 hours) and reports to the Director. This position is responsible for performing the monthly payables and receivables and banking reconciliations.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Enter data in Quickbooks<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions<\/li>\n<li>Prepare financial statements<\/li>\n<li>Reconcile accounts and prepare reports<\/li>\n<li>Manage our accounts receivable and accounts payable<\/li>\n<li>Communicate regularly Director<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Values fit with <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">DJPC mission<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Nonprofit Experience<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p>Higher Education required and knowledge in Accounting and\/or Finance preferred.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p>At least 2 years bookkeeping and administrative experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p>Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Suite and other open source technology<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p>Ability to work as part of the team<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p>Ability work independently<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p>High level of attention to detail<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p>Results-oriented, and excellent organizational skills<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div align=\"left\"><b>TO APPLY<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\">\nSend your expressions of interest, Cover letter and CV to <a class=\"moz-txt-link-abbreviated\" href=\"mailto:djpc@denjustpeace.org\">djpc@denjustpeace.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This volunteer position is open until filled.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bookkeeper search : This is a Volunteer position The Denver Justice and Peace is a grassroots organization dedicated to promoting human rights, economic and environmental justice, towards lasting peace in Latin America through education and nonviolent activism.
