March for Citizenship: Sept 25! // ¡Marcha para la ciudadanía: 25 de septiembre!

Join us September 25, as we March for Citizenship and demand justice for all immigrants! We will gather at Viking Park (Northwest Denver, corner of 29th and Federal) and march to Auraria campus where we will have a rally with speakers and performances.

On May 1, 2006, hundreds of thousands of Coloradans marched from Viking Park in Northwest Denver to the Capitol calling for justice for immigrants. Fifteen years later, on Sept. 25, we will march with those that came before us, as we retrace the steps from 2006 by walking from Viking Park to the center of Denver to tell U.S. Members of Congress, the White House, and the public that WE CAN’T WAIT any longer.

We will be demanding that Congress and Biden:

  • Create a pathway to citizenship for all 11+ million undocumented immigrants!
  • Ensure that a pathway to citizenship is included in the reconciliation bill, and pass it!
  • Welcome all refugees and asylees including those from Afghanistan, Haiti, and Central America, and work to provide them a pathway to citizenship
  • Stop all deportations, detentions, and family separations in our immigrant communities!

**BRING SIGNS, BANNERS, NOISEMAKERS AND YOUR VOICE TURNED ON MAX VOLUME TO DEMAND JUSTICE NOW! PLEASE WEAR WHITE, USE YOUR FACE MASK**

TRANSPORTATION – We recommend a carpool with other vaccinated folks or public transit. There’s limited street parking west of federal and south of 29th avenue. *Please do not block driveways or alleyways*

Parking garage – Decatur light rail station 1310 N Federal Blvd. From there take the 31 bus straight to the 29th and federal stop.

To return to your car from Auraria campus you go to the Auraria west station and take the W light rail line to the Decatur station.
